Our Staff

Our staff team operates as a large extended family network who collectively form what we call the ‘Blossoms Family’.

This comprises of a warm-hearted group of caring, qualified and motivated individuals who come together to create and achieve the warm and nurturing environment we are proud to call our home-from-home.

We have many long-standing members within our team and are proud of our staff retention at Blossoms.

Our team hold a host of qualifications from undergraduate and post graduate university degrees, foundation degrees to other higher level vocational qualifications in childcare, education and leadership. We also have a dedicated Co-ordinator to support those children with Additional Needs.

Each of our rooms has a dedicated team and a designated Room leader who is available for support and advice for our parents.

The day-to-day management of the nursery is shared by the Managing Director, Mrs RaÏssa Cayless and the Assistant Manager, Mrs Kirsty Johnson who are available to all our parents, children and staff daily.

Blossoms holds education most highly and we feel it’s as important for the adults as it is for the children – we invest in a rolling and on-going programme of continuous professional development through various platforms, keeping up-to-date with the latest research and legislation relating to childcare.

Our staff are trained to uphold the ethos of the nursery of learning through play and having fun with the children as they learn and explore and we practice ‘good old fashioned values’ such as honesty, integrity, respect and reliability and we share these with the children, creating genuine bonds of friendship right from the management team to the newest recruit and we share this with all the children and their families.
